We love successful Aussie women!

[ 2 ] March 5, 2009 | Rah

isla-fisherI remember watching Isla Fisher back in the days when she was in Home & Away; all young and spritely with that ginger hair of hers.

I haven’t paid much attention to her career since Home & Away, except for the fact that she’s attached to Borat himelf, Sascha Baron Cohen. I do know she’s done a handful of movies and made a bit of a name for herself on “the scene”.

Next month her new movie Confessions of a Shopaholic is released in Australia and she’s the headline act. Not even John Goodman, Joan Cusack or John Lithgow share top billing with Isla.

In reality, Isla is an Honorary Aussie – she moved here with her Scottish parents before her first birthday and her parents now living back in Europe. But Isla says that her “sensibility is Australian” and I think that’s good enough for us!

How noice is it to see a chick do so well, and an Honorary Aussie chick at that! Girl power!
