Come to the Save The Children Charity Show @ The Basement, 17th April
TweetI’m heading down to Sydney’s iconic The Basement to a charity gig for the Save the Children fund on April 17th.
It’s being headed by BrowN SuGar, a Sydney-based R’n’B/funk band that covers all the awesome old-school songs. They’ve lined up a bunch of special guests to sing along with them on the night, including Ngaiire Joseph, Steve Clisby, Carmen Smith, Junior, Alphamama, Miguel George and the iconic Doug Williams.
Who wants to come with me?

Save the Children is the world’s largest independent child rights development organisation, making a difference to children’s lives in more than 100 countries.
From emergency relief to long-term development, Save the Children secures a child’s right to health, education and protection.
Two months after Haiti was devastated by a 7-magnitude earthquake, thousands of children and families who were already facing a daily struggle to recover from the disaster now must contend with the rainy season. Save the Children is working to assist survivors and support children as they attempt to rebuild their lives.
Save the Children Australia manages and implements programs in Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu. We also support development programs through our global network in selected countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
Tickets are $35 for general admission or $88.80 for dinner and show.
