Bra Dryer

bradryerHoly cow, look at this thing!

The Bra Dryer is a device which is based on the presumption that the best way to dry bras without ruining their fabric, wiring and padding is to dry them on a shape which resembles female breasts. That’s why Bra Dryer is shaped like a female torso.

An infrared heat source helps evaporate moisture from the bra fabric while silent fans inside the appliance help remove this moisture.

At the moment Bra Dryer is still in the development phase and production is expected in 2010.

At first I didn’t think this would be my type of thing. But thinking about all the nice bras I’ve bought over the years through Intimo – it’d be nice to be able to look after them better and make them last longer.

So the Bra Dryer would help protect your beloved bras while drying them – but what about washing them? I was mine in my front-loader in a lingerie bag and I know some friends who wash theirs in the shower.

How do you prefer to wash your bras?

I usually just chuck mine into my front loader (without the use of a lingerie bag) and then if it is raining, they get thrown in the dryer. I must admit I don’t really give the washing or drying them much thought.
The Bra Dryer looks kinda creepy.

I’ll stick with the lingerie bag I think!

Although… If I did have lovely pricey bras that actually fit me, I’d consider the bra dryer.

I just chuck them in the front loader and chuck them over a line to dry. Wouldn’t it be painful only being able to dry one bra at a time?

I just chuck ‘em in the machine & hang ‘em on the line

I saw one on The View the other day that was just a plastic mould type thing that you air dried them on.

This thing looks like it would be way more expensive than the bras I buy LOL

Do you think the dryers come in different sizes – I can’t imagine a AA dryer will be much use for a FF bra, or vice versa for that matter.

Due to the stupidly expensive nature of bras in my size I handwash mine in a bucket or in the shower and then hang them to dry inside. I envy people with smaller more easily found sizes but even so not sure I’d invest in a bra drier when hanging it over a coathanger works just as well

Alison’s last blog post..What’s the bet this one works

Ooh – snazzy. I agree with Alison above. A coat hanger would work fine – and you could stick some oranges (or melons…) in to keep the shape :D
